Playtime - Rained off
Rain is good news for Tanzanians since it lowers the temperature and rainwater can be collected as extra water reserve.
However, it’s not the same case for Tanzanite. Heavy rain brings us different degrees of flooding, starting from the school entrance across the playground spreading to the classroom entrance
This year, we have experienced flooding 5 times, so the children had to move all the furniture out to clean our muddy classrooms.
Due to a structural construction problem it is impossible to redirect the extra water.
We love what we have established but it is more beneficial moving to a flood-free location.
